As noon approached on July 25th, 58 Haskell County 4-H memebers began gathering to load
the buses to their destination - Summer Camp! The camp was held in Robbers Cave State
Park, outside or Wilburton and was attended by four counties, Haskell, Pittsburg, Seminole
and McIntosh. For a cost of about $35.00, 4-Hers got 3 day, 2 night camp full of fun,
friends, learning, and more fun, fun, fun. 4-H memebers participated in a quiz game done
like Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, attended workshops on Character Pillars and Character
Counts, particapated in a talent show, swam, hiked, played basketball, and danced the
night away. The camp was a total success again this year. Everyone came away with
new friends, and memories to last forever. If you missed camp this year, we are already
looking forward to 2001. So.. don't miss out on your chance of 3 days of 4-H Summer Fun,
you won't be sorry. |
